We moved to Gosfield from Chelmsford six years ago… Still to this day I think it’s the best move we ever did. The sense of community, the park, the nature walks… It’s a perfect place to raise my young family, with the village school just a two minute walk, and we often head to the village pub on a Sunday for a lovely roast!
Halstead has everything we need. We’re well catered for in the high street, with a mix of decent sized shops like the Co-Op and Sainsburys, to the boutique café and restaurants. On the weekends we love a family swim at the leisure center and then lunch in one of the restaurants tucked away off the high street. Our favourite is the Little Book Café! If we’re doing a shop, the free high-street parking makes life easier with the kids and their pushchairs.
